Split your journey expenses
How this calculator works
For a Pakistan road trip, use total kilometres, your measured km per litre and your own PKR-per-litre receipt price. Trip fuel litres equal kilometres divided by km/L; the calculator then adds entered motorway tolls and shared parking in rupees. It divides this combined amount evenly between the number of contributors. The example fuel rate on this page is not a current government-notified price.

A worked trip-cost split for Pakistan
For 150 km at 15 km/L, the vehicle uses 10 litres. At an illustrative PKR 300 per litre, petrol costs PKR 3,000. Add PKR 500 in motorway tolls and PKR 100 parking; three paying travellers would each contribute PKR 1,200. These figures are arithmetic examples, not current pump prices.
Use the right local units
Pakistan prices and mileage vary with fuel notifications, city traffic, road conditions and air conditioning. PKR 300 in this example is not today's notified pump price. Use the price you actually paid and a measured km/L average.
Practical tips for reliable results
For a shared motorway return drive, keep both directions in the distance total and add the actual toll receipts. The driver may contribute to the split, but only include them in the passenger count if that was agreed. If someone travels just the Karachi-to-Hyderabad leg of a longer journey, calculate legs independently rather than billing that person for the full distance. No passenger balances or payment collections are recorded.
Share motorway travel costs in rupees
For a Pakistan road trip, you can cross-check fuel cost using a per-kilometre rate. At an illustrative PKR 300 per litre and a measured 15 km/L, the fuel cost is PKR 20 per kilometre. A 300 km return journey would therefore use about 20 litres and cost PKR 6,000 in petrol before motorway tolls, parking and any other joint expenses. This price is an example, not the current government-notified price.
Use the fuel price from your actual fill-up and mileage appropriate to the route. Motorway cruising, urban traffic, passengers and air-conditioning can change real consumption. Add motorway tolls only when they belong to the shared journey, and calculate separate legs if some people did not travel the full distance.
